The IndoPacific App is a platform run by the research & innovation division of Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP, the Vidhitsa Law Institute of Global and Technology Affairs.

The IndoPacific App offers digital products such as books, reports and other forms of research and non-fiction publications, in digital, paperback and hardbound form. 

By accessing or using the content available on this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms govern the use of all publications, reports, handbooks, and documentation provided by Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP and the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law (ISAIL) under the Creative Commons Attributionā€“NonCommercialā€“NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.

1. Scope of the License

1.1. Unless otherwise indicated, all publications, technical reports, AI handbooks, and other documentation available on IndoPacific.App are licensed under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.


1.2. This license allows you to:
ā€¢ Download and share the content for non-commercial purposes only.
ā€¢ Use the content as-is without making any modifications or derivative works.
ā€¢ Reference or cite the content in your work, provided proper attribution is given (see Section 2).ā€Ø

1.3. This license does not apply to third-party content hosted on IndoPacific.App, which may be subject to separate terms and conditions (see Section 5).


2. Attribution Requirements

2.1. Any use of our content must include proper attribution to Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP and/or ISAIL, as applicable. The attribution must include:

ā€¢ The name of the author(s), organisation(s), or publisher(s).

3. Prohibited Uses

3.1. You may not use the content for any commercial purposes without prior written permission from Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP or ISAIL.

3.3. You may not use our content for training, fine-tuning, or developing artificial intelligence models, large language models (LLMs), or any other machine learning systems without explicit written permission from Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP and ISAIL. This includes but is not limited to:

4. No Endorsement

4.1. Use of our content does not imply endorsement by Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP or ISAIL of any products, services, or viewpoints expressed by users referencing our work.

5. Third-Party Content

5.1. Some images, videos, data sets, or other materials on IndoPacific.App may be sourced from third parties and are not covered by the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license applied to our original publications.

5.2. Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with the licensing terms associated with third-party materials.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

6.1 While Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP and ISAIL make every effort to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the content provided on IndoPacific.App, we do not guarantee that it is free from errors or omissions.

6.2 We disclaim any liability for damages arising from the use or misuse of our content.

7. Amendments

7.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
7.2 Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

8.2 In the event of any dispute arising out of, or in connection with the terms, the parties shall, at first instance, attempt to resolve the dispute by Mediation administered by the Centre for Online Resolution of Disputes (ā€œCORDā€) (www.resolveoncord.com) and conducted in accordance with the CORD Rules of Mediation, by a Sole Mediator to be appointed by CORD.

8.3 In the event the parties are unable to resolve any such dispute through Mediation within 45 days of the initiation of the dispute, subject to a contrary agreement between the parties, the dispute shall be resolved by Arbitration administered by CORD and conducted in accordance with Rules of Arbitration of CORD, by a Sole Arbitrator to be appointed by CORD. The language of Arbitration shall be English. The seat of arbitration shall be Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, India.

8.4 In the event the parties are unable to resolve any such dispute through Arbitration within a year of the initiation of the dispute, the courts at Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, India shall have the final and exclusive jurisdiction over the dispute.

Thanks for shopping at the IndoPacific App (indopacific.app). If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

For all digital products, we charge aĀ Processing Fee for Digital Products.

For physical products such as Paperback and Hardbound Publications, we charge a Shipping Fee.Ā 

Refunds

Once we receive your payment of a digital product, the terms of refund apply as stated:

  • For payable online publications: the amount is non-refundable.
  • The processing fee for digital products is non-refundable for all digital publications.

Expiration of Access of Free Online Publications

The access of online publications (free), which require no payment (except a processing fee for digital products) expires 60 days after the day of receipt of purchase. Hence, we recommend you to purchase the publications again to get access for the next 60 days.

Please note: this is done for security reasons.

Refund and Return Policy for Paperback and Hardbound Publications
ReturnsĀ 
  • You have 7 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
  • To be eligible for a return, the book/publication must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • Your book/publication needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

RefundsĀ 
  • Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item.
  • We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
  • If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your card (or the original method of payment) via the Payment Gateway used to complete the purchase.
  • You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s/payment platformā€™s policies. It does not include any processing charges involved.
Shipping for Returns
  • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Once we receive the information of purchase via the payment gateway used, we will proceed with the process of on-demand printing and/or shipping of any book or report purchased severally or in bulk. Please make sure that you provide your address details on the payment gateway so as to receive the publications at the proper place.

We will attempt to deliver all the publications purchased within the time frame of 5 days to 3 weeks. In special circumstances, if we fail to deliver the publications within the time frame, feel free to connect with us via email at sales@indicpacific.com to request a refund or request the payment gateway portal with a message requesting refund. Our refund policy for digital and physical products has been provided on this website.

We are available to get in touch with the customer for a chat via our Website or the payment gateway from 1000 hours to 1700 hours IST every working day, unless a national holiday is declared, or any adverse circumstance appears to happen.

In case any commodity received by a customer has quality issues, please send pictures showing the quality via our contact form and we will be happy to address your queries.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of all documentation files, outcome documents, reports, and other publicly accessible documents hosted here. By accessing or using these documents, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use.

Open Access

All documents available under the AIStandard.io initiative are provided as open-access. This means that they are freely available for viewing, downloading, and use, subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein.

Usage Rights

  1. Personal and Non-Commercial Use: You are permitted to use the documents for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. You may download, share, and reference these documents in your research, studies, or personal projects.
