Description
The India E-Courts Manual has been developed to guide and assist judges, advocates, court officers and other personnel in courts across India. The scope of the manual is not global, nor does it extend to the Indo-Pacific region. However, the framework in the manual may be considered consultative, provided the publishing firm, and the authors are appropriately cited.
How to Read the Manual
The organisation of the e-courts manual into principle-based categories follows a deliberate progression that aligns with effective technology implementation practices:
- Conceptual Foundations First
- Starting with conceptual foundations provides the necessary groundwork before implementation can begin.
- Ethics of Use as the Middle Layer
- Ethical guidelines serve as the crucial bridge between concepts and implementation
- Technology Integration and Data Governance as the Final Stage
- The implementation section addresses the practical challenges of bringing concepts to life within ethical boundaries around facets of data governance.
